- 1 medium head cabbage
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 cup low sodium chicken stock substitute with water
Place the cabbage wedges in a shallow saucepan or pot. Add chicken stock or water, season it with a pinch of salt.
Cover the pan with a lid then bring to a gentle boil on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes. using a tong or fish slice spatula, carefully flip the cabbage and continue to simmer for additional 6-7 minutes or until tender to your preference.
Carefully drain cabbage or transfer to a plate using a fish slice spatula. Drizzle melted butter on the boiled cabbage, season with black pepper, serve and enjoy!
Microwave instructions
