How to freeze waffles

  • Cook the waffles according to instructions or as you would normally do until fully cooked. Allow them to cool down completely.
  • While the waffles are cooking, cut some parchments paper to the sizes of the waffles (small rectangular sheets that will be enough for the waffles you are cooking)
  • Stack the waffles by laying parchment paper between each waffle. Transfer to a freezer-safe bag or an airtight container. Label the freezer bag, remove as much air as possible from the bag, and freeze for up to three months.

Alternatively,

  • Flash freeze the waffles: line a baking tray with parchment paper, place the cooled waffles in the tray in a single layer and cover with a plastic wrap to stop it from catching the smell in the freezer and freeze for 2 hours.
  • Transfer the frozen waffles in a freezer safe bag or an airtight container.

    • Start checking from 3 minutes as cooking time will depend on the size and the make of your air fryer.
