Equipment

  • Sharp knife and chopping board

Ingredients

  • 20 whole chicken wings

Instructions

  • Remove the chicken from the package and pat it dry with a kitchen paper towel if it is moist. Keeping it dry will stop it from slipping when cutting it
  • Working on one wing at a time, hold the drumette on one hand and the wingette on another to stretch it.
  • Place the whole wing on the chopping board, flesh side down, you will be able to see the joints this way, run your finger on the chicken to locate the joints.
  • Place the knife in the centre of the joint in between the drumette and wingette and cut it all the way through. You should be left with two pieces at this point
  • Locate the joint between the wingette and tip and cut it all the way until separated. Go ahead and cook the chicken wings however you desire. Wings can be boiled, poached, fried, baked, or air-fried.
